SVA was created over 20 years ago to find innovative solutions to entrenched social problems and speed up change.

Today, we’re Australia’s most innovative social impact organisation as recognised by our Australian Financial Review CSR Innovation Award.

Our approach

Innovation is in our DNA – it’s part of everything we do. We’ve established an Innovation Hub to create innovative solutions, faster. It draws on our knowledge of gaps and opportunities in the system, as well as ideas and challenges presented by our partners. The Hub will help us explore ideas that we can trial and scale.

As part of our innovative approach, we:

  • look for areas where we can have the biggest impact
  • conduct extensive research to identify gaps
  • find partners to help us understand the landscape
  • develop strategies to create impact at scale
  • trial and test initiatives and implement solutions
  • work with partners to increase adoption, practise change, or create a self-sustaining entity.
