Joshua Heldarskard

Associate Director, Policy & Advocacy

Joshua is part of SVA’s policy and advocacy team with a particular focus on early childhood, education, First Nations and housing.

Prior to joining SVA, Joshua worked across advocacy, communications and government relations roles for a number of charities including the peak body for Aboriginal child, families and communities, AbSec, international animal charity, World Animal Protection, and youth sector peak body, Australian Youth Affairs Coalition.

Joshua has also worked as an advisor to the Deputy Premier, Minister for Transport, Minister for Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning in Queensland and for former Minister for Defence and Special Minister of State, Senator John Faulkner. He began his career working for Members of Parliament in the UK.
