Katherine David

Consultant

I’m passionate about the amazing work that happens each day in the for-purpose sector. At SVA, I’m surrounded by people with heart and determination to support these organisations to do their very best work for a fairer Australia.

Katherine is a Consultant at SVA, bringing over 15 years of experience working in the public health and social sectors. Prior to joining SVA, Katherine worked at the Stroke Foundation, managing projects and delivering quality improvement programs. She led the development of a national strategy to reduce the burden of stroke and heart disease in Australia and managed a multi-year co-design project working in partnership with the young stroke community. Katherine has also worked extensively in the public health system in Australia and the UK, as a physiotherapist specialising in brain injury.

Katherine is passionate about working with people with lived experience and collaboration across the for-purpose sector. She enjoys applying research skills and has volunteered for the past two years with a London university to develop a database for the World Health Organisation, tracking policy measures in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Katherine holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
