Margot Eliason

There are so many committed organisations out there that work hard to solve Australia’s complex social challenges. I joined SVA to support those organisations to work smarter, build on their strengths and reach their goals. It is a real privilege to work with the building blocks of positive change for our society.

Margot is a Consultant at Social Ventures Australia.

She is passionate about implementing systems change to solve Australia’s most complex social challenges. She has strong skills in communications and stakeholder engagement, project management, and research and analysis.

Prior to joining SVA, Margot worked as Community Engagement Lead with the Barkly Backbone, a collective impact project supporting the delivery of the Barkly Regional Deal. She also previously worked as a solicitor at Herbert Smith Freehills.

Margot has extensive experience facilitating stakeholder meetings in remote communities and developing community plans using a theory of change approach. She has worked with a wide range of stakeholders including government, businesses, Native Title bodies, First Nations organisations and community groups.

Margot holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Laws from Monash University.
