Miran Fernando

Consultant

It’s a privilege to work at SVA and partner with a range of fantastic organisations who are committed to tackling highly complex and pertinent social issues and creating a fairer and more equitable Australia.

Miran is a Consultant at SVA. Miran has worked on a range of projects across strategy, organisational effectiveness and outcomes management. His recent experience includes supporting the Victorian community legal sector to develop a 10-year sector strategy, supporting Redkite a children’s cancer charity through conducting social return on investment analysis, and preparing the report Forecast Social Return on Investment Analysis: 2022-2026 which was launched at Parliament House. Miran also co-wrote Insights on Australian field-building intermediaries and their funding journeys towards sustainable impact, based on primary research of eight Australian not-for-profit organisations.

Miran joined SVA with two years of professional experience gained from working as a consultant in Accenture’s Government & Health team. Whilst at university, Miran volunteered at the Family Law Assistance Program at the Monash-Oakleigh Legal Service (now Monash Law Clinics) where he provided free legal advice to clients under the supervision of a family law solicitor. He also mentored high school students attending schools considered underrepresented at university as part of the Access Monash Ambassador Program. These experiences strengthened his passion for social impact.

Miran holds a Bachelor of Arts (History) and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Monash University.
