SVA thanks outgoing Board director Tanya Gilerman and welcomes Diana Radcliffe
Social Ventures Australia (SVA) Chair, Rob Koczkar, has thanked Tanya Gilerman for her decade of service as he shared the news that she stepped down from the SVA Board last month.
‘Tanya’s contribution to SVA over the past 11 years has been truly remarkable. SVA has been extremely lucky to have Tanya’s expertise to guide our organisation, particularly in her role as the chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.’
Koczkar paid tribute to her adept stewardship of SVA’s financial reporting, adding that her dedication was remarkable.
‘Thanks to Tanya’s generous volunteering of her time and knowledge, SVA’s complex accounts have been impeccably managed.
‘On behalf of SVA and the Board, I’d like to acknowledge her dedication to SVA’s mission and her unwavering commitment to supporting the learning, development and wellbeing of our team.’
In announcing her retirement from the SVA Board, Gilerman reflected on her experience at SVA.
‘It has been an honour to serve on the SVA Board for the last 11 years and to work with the amazing leadership team and the Board,’ said Gilerman.
‘Over the years, I have seen SVA’s evolution and the significant impact that it continues to make in delivering better social outcomes for our society.
‘I wish SVA, its employees and the Board members success into the future and I look forward to continue supporting SVA’s mission.
SVA CEO Suzie Riddell shared how much she valued Tanya’s people-focused style and her modelling of great leadership.
‘Tanya is someone who truly lives the SVA value of putting people at the centre of our work. Her positivity, enthusiasm and genuine regard for the wellbeing of our team has always inspired me.’
‘Tanya’s generosity is reflected in the length of her service, and we’re extremely grateful for her dedication and contribution to our vision of a better Australia.’
Gilerman officially stepped down from the Board at the end of June with incoming Board director, Diana Radcliffe, Head of Group Financial Planning and Analysis at Macquarie Group starting in July.
‘It gives me great pleasure to announce Diana Radcliffe will be joining the SVA Board,’ said Koczkar. ‘Diana has been an independent member of SVA’s Finance Audit and Risk Committee since 2019, so she is already well-versed in all things SVA.’
Koczkar continued that SVA has already benefitted from Diana’s financial expertise and incredible commitment to our work, and that he looked forward to working more closely with her as an SVA Board director.
Radcliffe’s career in financial services has spanned more than 15 years across the UK and Australia. She holds a Masters of Finance from INSEAD, a Bachelor of Economics and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
‘I have been involved with SVA for many years and have been consistently impressed by the quality of the team and leadership and their unique approach to amplifying social change.
‘I am honoured to join the Board and will strive to assist SVA in delivering its vision of making Australia a place where all communities thrive.’
