Voices on work: young people with disability in Greater Melbourne
Findings from a qualitative study of the experiences of looking for work and working from young people with disability in Greater Melbourne.
Young people with disability are one of the most disadvantaged cohorts in the labour market. They experience discrimination and exclusion due to their status both as young people and as people with disability. This disadvantage may be compounded by additional factors such as ethnicity, gender or sexual identity, and socio-economic status.
Listening to the voices of these young people with disability can help employers ensure that their workplaces are set up to enable them to succeed.
